Jörg has been developing a style of piano playing that truly “speaks” from the instrument - phrases unfold, rhythms bounce, and stories are told. This style is now even further realized with “Words Have Vanished Into Silence” and "Scherer", his two new pieces that feature himself as pianist and improviser along with the Koehne String Quartet.
It is a joy to experience these pieces: whether it’s the lush harmonies in the strings, Jörg’s edge-of-your-seat improvised passages, the spirited interaction between the piano and the quartet, or the long-form development of the compositions, anybody can find something to enjoy in this beautiful new music.
